IWC and 27 Organizations Urge U.S. DOL to Withdraw Misguided 2024 Final Independent Contractor Rule

On May 14, IWC and 27 organizations sent a letter to leadership at the U.S. Department of Labor requesting that the agency act swiftly to rescind the 2024 final rule, "Employee or Independent Contractor Under the Fair Labor Standards Act."

As the coalition notes, the 2024 rule provides little clarity for the regulated community, invites frivolous litigation, and chills opportunities for independent work.
